BETRIEBSBEREIT. An Exhibition of the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection in Berlin
Sep. 06 2025 - Sep. 14 2025
Add to Calendar 06/09/2025 14/09/2025 Europe/Brussels BETRIEBSBEREIT. An Exhibition of the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection in Berlin BETRIEBSBEREIT gathers around works from the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection, which question the functionality of objects through their choice of materials and content. This artistic approach is a key focus of the corporate collection founded in 1977. The works presented here employ various methods, such as the unaltered transfer of everyday objects into the art context, the sometimes humorous, sometimes critical distortion of everyday items, or the approach to and appropriation of scientific instruments. The exhibited works by 8 female and 11 male artists not only question the mechanisms of the art context but also “function” independently of art historical developments related to Readymade, Objet trouvé, and Object Art. They vividly illustrate the potential of art to view the things around us from different perspectives and to reflect on their various dimensions of meaning. Artists: Emma Adler, Ruby Anemic, John M Armleder, Martin Boyce, Alice Channer, Gail Hastings, Bethan Huws, Iman Issa, Alicja Kwade, Elisa Manig, Yudi Noor, Kirsten Mosher, Rupert Norfolk, Kayode Ojo, Robin Rhode, Michael Sailstorfer, Haim Steinbach, Timm Ulrichs, Georg Winter More information: https://www.mercedes-benz.art/en/betriebsbereit/ Kopenhagener Straße 60-68 13407 Berlin Germany DD/MM/YYYY true
