IACCCA organised an in-depth debate on how the ecological challenges of our era influence artistic practices.
The symposium brought together high-profile professionals from the cultural world: artists, curators, academics, creative producers and representatives of cultural organisations to discuss how art could play a role in imagining new ways of living in our present time.

With this Symposium, IACCCA wished to get to know new forms of artistic practices that are being developed while facing today's crucial issues such as the deterioration of our ecosystem, as well as to offer an opportunity to broaden our ways of thinking and to debate on how we can act and integrate art into our environments.

The discussions were organised in two sessions followed by a moderated debate among the panel members and a larger discussion on critical issues open to audience participation.

2021 speakers were the following :

HEIDI BALLET, Independent Curator - "Climate Crisis Then and Now: Mapping Mindsets through Collections"
MARKUS REYMANN, Director of TBA21-Academy - "Formulating a Cultural Response to the Climate Crisis"
