Wie wollen wir leben?
Jun. 01 2026 - Oct. 03 2026
Add to Calendar 01/06/2026 03/10/2026 Europe/Brussels Wie wollen wir leben? The DZ BANK Art Foundation’s exhibition “How Do We Want to Live?” explores how architecture, urban planning, nature and social structures shape life in contemporary cities. Bringing together artistic perspectives on housing, public space, community and the urban environment, the exhibition reflects on questions of affordability, diversity, coexistence and sustainability. Through installations and photographic works by artists including Heike Baranowsky, Astrid Busch, Karina Nimmerfall, Andrea Pichl, Lilly Lulay, Olivo Barbieri and others, the exhibition considers historical and contemporary models of urban living, from New Frankfurt and Red Vienna to prefabricated housing, green spaces and imagined places of refuge. In the context of climate change and growing social challenges, the exhibition asks what conditions are needed to create shared urban spaces in which people can live together more fairly, sustainably and contentedly.
