Curated by photographer Iatã Cannabrava, the exhibition Modern Forever – Brazilian Modernist Photography in the Itaú Cultural Collection focuses on the Brazilian modernist photographic movement which, despite being overdue, was fundamental in the discussion about the practice of photography. Designed to give national visibility to the photographic aspect of the Itaú Unibanco Collection, the exhibition includes works from the period of 1940 through 1970, by names such as José Yalenti, José Oiticica Filho, Geraldo de Barros, Marcel Giró, Thomaz Farkas, German Lorca, Dulce Carneiro and Gertrudes Altschul.
