Since the late 1980s, the Oesterreichische Nationalbank has built an extensive collection of Austrian art from 1918 to the present. It highlights key movements such as interwar painting—particularly Neue Sachlichkeit/New Objectivity—post-1945 abstraction, and abstract contemporary trends. The collection is displayed throughout the bank and loaned to major museums across Austria. This cultural commitment makes the OeNB’s art accessible to the public and underscores its enduring support for Austria’s artistic heritage.
