Since the late 1980s, the Oesterreichische Nationalbank has built an extensive collection of Austrian art from 1918 to the present. It highlights key movements such as interwar painting—particularly Neue Sachlichkeit/New Objectivity—post-1945 abstraction, and abstract contemporary trends. The collection is displayed throughout the bank and loaned to major museums across Austria.
